Summary of my weight loss:
I have loss 18 kg + 25.5 inches with 2 Herbalife shakes + 1 normal meal.
I loss another 1 kg + 24.1 inches after I stopped taking Herbalife shakes.
To date, I have lost a total of 19 kg + 49.6 inches of my body.
I'm currently taking 2-3 normal meals per day.
I'm no longer dependent on Herbalife Shakes for more than 5 years.

Differences between Teamix and NRG Tea

Salam & Hi...

A lot of people have been asking about the differences between Teamix and NRG tea in terms of its benefits.

Below I'll list down the ingredients in Teamix and NRG tea with each of the benefits from the ingredients listed.



Ingredients in Teamix 50g & 100g (Original ~ Lemon Hibiscus)
- Maltodextrin
- Fructose
- Orange pekoe extract
- Camellia sinensis (Green tea extract)
- Lemon peel extract (for flavouring)
- Cardamom seed extract
- Malva sylvestrist extract
- Hibiscus flower powder (for flavouring)
- Natural caffeine powder from tea leaves

Ingredients in Teamix 100g (Peach flavour)
- Maltodextrin
- - Fructose
- Orange pekoe extract
- Camellia sinensis (Green tea extract)
- Natural peach flavour (for flavouring)
- Citric Acid
- Cardamom seed extract
- Malva sylvestrist extract
- Hibiscus flower powder (for flavouring)

- absorbed into the blood stream very quickly and gives the body an energy boost. This boost can be important in speeding up nutrients, such as protein, amino acids and creatine to the muscles.
- to enhance sports performance or recovery, can be taken before, during and immediately post exercise, but is more effective when combined with other carbohydrate supplementation.

Camellia sinensis (Green tea extract)
- well-researched and shown to be rich in polyphenol antioxidant nutrients; contributes to a general feeling of well-being. Green Tea contains caffeine, generally tea contains one third of the amount of caffeine per cup as compared to coffee.
- Research indicates that green tea extract is beneficial for a number of diseases including cancer, heart disease and inflammation.

Orange Pekoe Extract
- Orange pekoe tea, which should not be confused with herbal tea, is a type of black tea which has several health benefits. These health benefits are attributed to the fluoride content and presence of other bioactive compounds in the tea. The main phytochemicals in orange pekoe tea include theaflavins and thearubigins.
- decreased risk of heart attack: the research appears to indicate a modest reduction in heart attack risk with the consumption of 3 or more cups of black tea per day.
- antioxidant: help to counteract free radicals preventing them from damaging tissues of the body. Thus, antioxidants helps to combat premature aging.
- improved venous circulation: important in the management of varicose veins by by strengthening the walls of veins and making capillaries less permeable.
- decreased risk of dental cavities: natural source of low levels of fluoride, which helps to prevent tooth decay.

- calorie reduction : by volume, fructose is sweeter than table sugar and high fructose corn syrup. Health-conscious consumers can achieve the same level of sweetness using 5 to 10 percent less sweetener and fewer calories.
- glycemic index : People with diabetes and reactive hypoglycemia may use fructose as a low glycemic index alternative to table sugar. Fructose creates a low spike in blood sugar levels than most other sweeteners, so it may be ideal for those on glucose-restricted diets
- taste and texture : can improve the taste and texture of sweets. when combined with other sweeteners, it can increase the height and volume of baked goods, gives food a pleasant scent and a pale-brown surface color.

Lemon Peel Extract
- provides an excellent source of bioflavanoids and vitamin C.
- used to stimulate appetite, as a flavor and fragrance enhancer, and to treat digestive disorders.
- as a treatment for gastrointestinal disorders, phlebitis, vascular disorders, and capillary fragility, and as a treatment for cellulite. It is believed to have antibiotic abilities.
- used as an antiseptic, astringent, and antibiotic.
- can be used externally to treat acne, cellulite and other skin disorders.
- limonene (a monoterpene found in lemon, orange and grapefruit peel) prevents individuals from developing abnormal growths on their skin.
- limonene also has demonstrated prevention efficacy in preclinical models of breast and colon abnormal growths.
- protection against abnormal growths of the skin.

Cardamon Extract
– In the Ayurvedic medicine practices in Indian cultures, cardamom was used in various remedies, especially in the treatment of digestive problems.
- to help relieve excessive gas and to stop colic in children.
- an effective remedy for urinary incontinence and as a general tonic for any type of stomach ailment.
- reliable to smooth muscle cramps and work to improve asthma symptoms, stomach cramping and indigestion.
- When added to a tea or hot drink, the spice can help reduce chronic bronchitis and to dissolve kidney stones.
- can increase appetite which would benefit those who are anorexic or have a loss of appetite due to illness. - is taken by people suffering from bad breath as well.
- when added to foods, has an aphrodisiac effect.
- help to reduce nausea and help with morning sickness in pregnant women
- works well as an overall treatment for heartburn.

Malva Sylvestris Extract
- useful for fighting both dry coughs and chest colds
- also contain compounds that make mallows useful as an expectorant.
- other folk remedies utilizing Malva sylvestris involve making a mild laxative tea which may help soothe the digestive system

Guarana Seed Extract
- used as a stimulant, weight-loss aid and performance enhancer.
- taken for the prevention or treatment of dysentery, malaria, hypotension, heart problems, chronic fatigue syndrome and urinary flow problems.
- is used to manage fever; diarrhea; and head, neck and joint pain. Some use it as an aphrodisiac.

Citric Acid
- a naturally occurring compound in citrus fruits such as oranges, lemons and grapefruit - boasts several properties that may make it useful as either a treatment for certain medical conditions or as a dietary supplement.
- an alkalizing agent: It is able to decrease the level of acidity in body fluids.
- acts as an anti-oxidant and is also able to chelate - binding to excess calcium and allowing it to leave the body.
- Anti-oxidant Benefits : to neutralize the damaging effects of free radicals, unstable compounds that can accumulate in the body from exposure to toxic chemicals, smoking and even normal cell metabolism.
- Kidney Benefits : Citric acid's ability to chelate calcium and its alkalizing properties make it useful as a method for preventing kidney stones.
- Acid Balance Benefits : used as a treatment for metabolic acidosis, a condition that occurs when the blood becomes overly acidic. As a strong alkalizing agent, citric acid can bring the acid down to normal levels.

- NRG Tea and Teamix lemon hibiscus taste quite the same to me.
- Teamix Peach have a slight peachy taste and smell. :P

d) Caffeine content per teaspoon
- NRG tea (1 tspn = 2g) : 80 mg of caffeine
- Teamix (1 tspn = 3.4 g): 170 mg of caffeine

e) Limit of Caffeine Intake per day

Those pregnant / trying to conceive (< 200 mg) = max 2 teaspoon
Those breastfeeding (< 300 mg)= max 3 teaspoon
General population of adults (< 400 mg)= max 4 teaspoon

Those pregnant / trying to conceive (< 200 mg) = max 1 teaspoon
Those breastfeeding (< 300 mg) = max 1 teaspoon
General population of adults (< 400 mg) = max 2 teaspoon

- NRG Tea contains Guarana, which is not recommended for children or for women who are pregnant or breastfeeding. If you still choose to consume NRG tea, please consult with your doctor before doing so.
- If you have high blood pressure, irregular heartbeat, migrain, limit the amount of caffeine you drink to 200 milligrams a day.

f) Calories

Obviously you will be mixing NRG tea and Teamix with water.. which is ZERO in calories! So if you don't mix your tea with anything else (such as honey, lemon/lime, etc), below are basically the calories for your tea. Thats pretty low right? Imagine how many calories you can cut down just by replacing your normal beverage with NRG tea and Teamix!

* 1/4 or 1/2 teaspoon + 250 ml water = makes 1 cup of tea

1 teaspoon of NRG tea (2 g) = 8 calories
1/2 tspn of NRG tea (1 g) = 4 calories
1/4 tspn of NRG tea (0.5 g) = 2 calories

1 teaspoon of teamix (3.4 g) = 11.6 calories
1/2 tspn of teamix (1.7 g) = 5.8 calories
1/4 tspn of teamix (0.85 g) = 2.9 calories
